Construction Joint Filler - Step by step guide





Step 1 – checklist
We recommend the following tools & products.
- T-Tool
- CJF Wheel
- CJF
- CJF primer
- E-release
- Broom
Step 2 – Clean
Quickly sweep out the trench of any debris with a broom and remove any looses pieces
Step 3 – Pour CJF Primer
Pour primer into the slot. This will water proof the bottom of the slot and helps bind the CJF to the existing asphalt or concrete.
Step 4 – Fill
Fill the slot with CJF. Use the T-tool or something similar to push the CJF into the hole.
Step 5 – Compact
Suggest applying e-release to the edge of the CJF wheel to prevent CJF from sticking to the wheel. Then compact the cjf into the slot using the wheel.Repeat steps 4 and 5 a few times
Step 6 – Clean
Clean up and sweep away any excess CJF.
